Favourite family Halloween films

Instead of going out this Halloween you could always celebrate from the comfort of your own home fetch yourself some snacks and sit down together to watch a fabulous classic Halloween films Here are five of my favourites to get you started with some ideas........

  • Bettlejuice: "A couple of recently deceased ghosts contact the services of a "bio-exorcist" in order to remove the obnoxious new owners of there house"

The film was directed by Tim Burton quite a weird film Its a love/hate relationship between Bettlejuice and the viewer he is definitely a creepy character I would recommend children to be at least aged ten before they watch it but a classic film that is great fun!

    • Hocus Pocus; After 300 years, three sister witches resurrected in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it us up to two teenagers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches reign of terror once and for all.
The movie is filled with special effects loads of them in fact from flying Hoovers, a talking cat that used to be a boy and three cackling witches on broomsticks this is a fantastic family film that is great to watch over and over again.

    • Casper; A paranormal expert and his daughter bunk in an abandoned house populated by 3 mischievous ghosts and one friendly one.

A must see film for any family, this film will have you laughing and crying it has some amazing special effects and a positive ending, over all this film will touch your heart it is both a happy and sad film.

    • The Witches, A young boy stumbles onto a witch convention and must stop them, even after he has been turned into a mouse.

A Roal Dahl classic book that was adapted into a film with witches that are trying to take over and turn little boys into mice even as mice they try to stop the witches a great family film which will keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

    • Addams Family Values, Con artists plan to fleece the eccentric family using an accomplice who claims to be their long lost Uncle Fester.

When long lost Uncle Fester rejoins the family. No one is to know the reasons behind it and there may be other people who want the Addams' house. This Is a great thrilling comedy that will have you laughing and guessing and wanting to watch more of this odd family.

What is your favourite Halloween films? I like the family Halloween films because I think I have an over active imagination so I don't do particularly scary but I love the nice family classics.
